To answer this question you need to know the definitions of stress, organism and reaction. Stress can be physiological or physical, but most commonly, in animals and humans, it is a combination of both. One influences the other. Next, ask yourself what happens to you when you are stressed. What happens in your body? What happens in your mind? Do you do anything? Are there any behavior changes? Are there behavior changes in people you have seen under stress? What effect does stress have on the body in general? How does the amount and duration of stress affect individuals? I will tell you this, stress results in change, and that change may be either good (eustress) or bad (distress).
