To convert mg to umol, you need to know the molar mass (molecular weight). For example, say the molar mass is 140 g/mole. This is equal to 140 mg/mmole = 140 ug/umole, and so on. For 0.075 mg you would have the following:
0.075 mg x 1000 ug/mg x 1 umol/140 ug = 0.536 umoles.
As you can see, YOU MUST KNOW THE MOLAR MASS to do these calculations.
EDIT: Just noticed you had glycine as a key word. The molar mass of glycine is 75.07 g/mol. Thus it is 75.07 ug/umol, and the calculation would be 0.075 mg x 1000 ug/mg x 1 umol/75.07 ug = 1 umole of glycine.
