Need music for my dance piece!

Question

I have a piece I asked to choreograph for my dance company. I am 16 years old and just joined the company last year. I was trained in ballet for ten years and just moved to this studio, which is a mix of modern and contemporary. My vision was a theme of nature and growth, but recently I've been playing with the idea of people supporting each other and thought I could mash the two together. I had a song (Berlin by the Piano Guys) and I loved it because of the slow and isolated beginning that led to a powerful crescendo and went back to the same isolated ending...it was very beautiful and I was so excited to use it. However, my teacher didn't seem to like that song, and said an adult choreographer used it in their company about three years ago and said it was good for me to have "backups". Yeah, I figured out he didn't really want me to use it.

HERE'S WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP! :)
I've been searching youtube for hours but cannot find any songs that left a lasting imprint on me AND complements movement. I would like an instrumental piece that has a slow quiet and isolated beginning, perhaps some crescendo, and possibly a repeat of the isolated beginning? If you don't have that, ANY beautiful, powerful, delicate piece that you personally love or think would be a good idea. Literally put anything down. Any suggestions for movements of group structures/patterns would be great also. I can give you a part of my choreography plan if that would help!

This question reminded me of when I was 16 and was the emerging choreographer for my ballet company. I had a long list of songs I considered, but after my director saw me dancing around to Switchfoot's "Dare You to Move" by Vitamin String Quartet, that became my song.

It starts isolated, just as you wanted, and has an INCREDIBLE crescendo. I took that choreography to Regional Dance America and we performed it in Las Vegas. I also got scholarships to Regional Dance America's National Choreography (Craft of Choreography) summer intensive as a choreographer because of that piece.

I hope your choreography journey continues to develop and flourish. I'm sure the piece you created was beautiful and touching no matter what music you used, as your intention and idea for the piece was such a beautiful combination of imagery and purpose.

Perhaps you can use this song for future endeavors.

It sounds like there would be a lot of songs I know that correspond to the way you respond. I would send you a few to get you to refine down the choices so I can learn better what you are looking for. The best song that comes to mind is the requiem for a dream theme song!

Ugh, this is the best and hardest question I've ever seen on here! You're going to go listen to this song and wonder why on earth i suggested it (especially because it has lyrics...) but here goes. It's called Shadows Break, by Iain Matthews. It's haunting, beautiful, a little grim, but very rich in imagery and for some reason it popped into my mind when I saw your post...

Even if it's not right for your project, it's still a great song...
