The denominator of a fraction is three times the numerator. If 8 is added to the numerator and 6 is subtracted from the denominator the resulting fraction is eqUivalent to 8/9. Find the original fraction.

3n represents the denominator

(n + 8) / (3n - 6) = 8/9

9(n + 8) = 8(3n - 6)
