You should use "is" because "pancreas" is singular, just like you would in the following statement:
Debra, along with her friends, is friendly.
Would it make sense to say "are" in this sentence?

Another way is to consider what would be correct if the unnecessary "along with the adrenals" were deleted. IS is it!
