Write the equation of the line that represents this graph. Show your work or explain how you determined the equations.

 

On the y-axis of this graph it is numbered 50-300, counting by 50's, and on the x-axis it is numbered 50-450. The line goes from 300 on the y-axis, to 450 on the x-axis. I wish I could also post the picture of the graph but I am unsure how. Can somebody please walk me through how I would solve this? Thank you!!

If the points you mentioned are intercepts (when x is 0, the line crosses the y axis at 300)  then we've got it, as 2 points determine a line!
Your points are (0,300) and (450,0) 

find the slope as the change in y over the change in x.

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = slope

0 - 300/450-0 = -300/450 = -30/35 = -6/7

 

Use the slope intercept form of a line: where m is the slope and b is the y intercept
y = mx + b

y = -6/7 + 300
