the answer is c. consider a graph of any type. suppose this is f(x). move it to four units to the right. suppose new one is g(x). observe that f(0) is now at x=4. this means g(4)=f(0) without considering veritcal translation. from this, we can infer that g(x)=f(x-4). so we know options a and b are not one of correct answers. since it has vertically moved down, 3 is to be substrated from f(x-4). to make this clear, let's take an example. if at some point value of f(x) was 4, it will change to 1 after moving the graph 3 steps down. so what has happened here is what i had mentioned earlier. hence, g(x)=f(x-4)-3.
