This could be answered in several different ways depending on how you look at it. What kinds of energy did your class define? If you could let me know that, we could see which one sound energy most resembles.
So just let me know! If there is not such a list, I can tell you what I think, but I would like to see what boundaries your class might have set for problems like this.
