Passive voice is what you have when the subject of the sentence is not the one responsible for the action. (That's Francisco in this case.)

Active voice means the person (or persons) responsible for the action are the same as the subject. The band is the one taking the action, so if you want active voice they need to be the subject.
You will also find in most cases that active voice gives you cleaner, clearer sentences. :-)
