Fractions are just a way to represent the quantity of one thing relative to quantity of another thing. For example, imagine a pizza with 8 slices. If I eat 4 of them, I have eaten 4/8 of the pizza. 4 divided by 8 is the same as 1 divided by 2, so I can say I ate 1/2 of the pizza. You need to do that same kind of conversion for these numbers.
More specifically, just as we saw what 4/8 was in terms of 2, you need to see what 3/4 and 2/5 are in terms of 20.
How can we make the denominator 20? By multiplication!
3/4 multiplied by 5/5 is equal to 15/20. (We can multiply by 5/5 without changing the original fraction because 5/5 is equal to 1)
2/5 multiplied by 4/4 is equal to 8/20.
Pick any number between 8 and 15, and use it as the numerator. (9/20, 10/20, 11/20, etc)
Does this make sense? Please let me know if I can help you more!
