Hi Heaven,
Unicellular organism would have only one cell that would undergo modification to accomplish a specific function. A simple example is formation of pseudopodia to generate vacuoles for excretion or vesicles for nutrition. This single cell would divide to produce daughter cells or daughter unicellular organisms. In contrast, multicellular organisms would havespecialized cells to accomplish specific functions. primarily, multicellular organisms would have two major cell types: soma or somatic cells for body functions and germ cells to produce gametes and accomplish reproduction. Then depending on the complexity of organism multicellular organism would have specific additional cell types.
