Fascism, Nazism, WWII

Question

Hi,

Can someone simply explain/breakdown what fascism is and what nazism is and compare/contrast between them? I'm having difficulty seeing what they are.

 

Also, why did fascism gain support in the 1920's-1930's  which eventually made it lead to world war 2
