The Pythagorean Theorem states a²+b²=c². The a is one leg, and the b is the other leg. Our c is the hypotenuse. 

We can therefore plug in our values: 9²+10²=c². Solve for x:

9²+10²=c²

81+100=c²

181=c²

√181=c

13.4536240471=c

∴The exact length of the hypotenuse is 13.4536240471, while the two-decimal place approximation is 13.45
