-2y=-5x+10 Divide all terms by -2

[(-2y)/(-2)]=[(5x)/(-2)]+[(10)/(-2)]

∴y=[(5x)/2]-5

first you need to subtract 5x from both sides

5x-5x-2y=10-5x

-2y=10-5x

 

then you need to divide both sides by -2

-2y/-2 = (10-5x)/-2

y=-10/2  + 5x/2

y= -5+5/2 x

y=5/2 x -5
