Through what angle does the observer see the pole?

One end of a 9.3 foot pole is 13.6 feet from an observer's eyes, and the other end is 17.4 feet from the observer's eyes. Through what angle does the observer see the pole?

I guess I'm confused about the cosA = ... part. Is 2x13.6x17.4 supposed to be multiplication? When I plug this into my calculator, assuming it's supposed to be multiplying those numbers, I come out with 47,473.5336.  Then I take the inverse cos of 47,473.5336 and my calculator says error?
