Let's break down her collection into....

E=euro coins

N=non-euro coins

T=total coins

 

A)  "6 out of 10" means that she is comparing euro-coins to 

      total coins in collection....

      Ratios.....E:T::6:10 or 3:5......divide by 2

      Can be written as fractions....

      E/T=6/10=3/5

B)  If 6 out of 10 coins are euro, then 4 out of 10 are NOT euro...

      Ratios.....N:T::4:10 or 2:5......divide by 2

      Can be written as fractions....

      N/T=4/10=2/5

C)  Comparing euro to non-euro.....

      Ratios.....E:N::4:6 or 2:3.......divide by 2

      Can be written as fractions....

      E/N=4/6=2/3
