asked 09/10/15Decimals always win in arguments with fractions. What do decimals have that fractions dont?
I do not know that question. I need an answer please.

Decimals always have a point, fractions do not. (A point, as in main idea, is helpful or required to win an argument. Point is also used as a short way of saying decimal point.)
The real value of decimals is that calculations can be done directly.
Consider this simple example: 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 x 4 7/8
First, all of the mixed numbers must be converted to improper fractions.
Then, a common denominator must be determined.
Then, all of the improper fractions must by converted to fractions using the common denominator.
Then, the computation can be done.
Finally, the answer must be reduced to its lowest terms.
In contrast, 2.5 x 3.75 x 4.875 can be multiplied directly.
