You need to set up equations representing each plan to find the answer. Write out an equation for each plan and put one on each side of an equal sign to find out "where they are equal to each other."
X can equal number of minutes where plans cost the same. Plan A is 50 + 0.05(x-500) and Plan B is 20 + 0.06(x-200).
The first number in each equation is the base amount (basic fee) for each plan plus the addition cost of minutes over the free amount (minute rate x number of minutes over the free amount).
