What is the profit/loss that she made?

The following were bought; 12 stickers (unit price $0.49), 3 t-shirt( unit price 12.50), 2 CD's (unit price 16.95) and 5 posters (unit price 6.20)....

 

Amanda sold 6 of the 12 stickers which she had bought at 75 cents each and the remaining stickers at 40 cents each. Show using calculations, whether Amanda made a profit or loss on buying and selling stickers

Cost: 12 * .49 =  5.88

 

6 * .75 = 4.50

6 * .40 = 2.40

 

Gross profit: 4.50 + 2.40 = 6.90

5.88 < 6.90

So Amanda made a profit on her sticker sales.
