We can factor by grouping.

 

2x²(2x + 3) - 2(2x + 3)

 

The greatest common factor (GCF) of the polynomial is  (2x + 3).  Taking out the GCF, we obtain

 

(2x² - 2)(2x + 3)

 

 

(2x² - 2)  can be factored out taking out the 2.

 

2(x² - 1)(2x + 3)

 

 

(x² - 1) is a difference of perfect squares.

 

2(x - 1)(x + 1)(2x + 3)
