I need help with this math problem. I know the answer is -8 and -2 I just don't know the steps to get there. If you could help me with this please.
(x+5)^2 = 0

1. √((x+5)2) = √0
2. (x+5) = 0
3. x + 5 - 5 = 0 - 5
4. x = -5
How did you come up with -8 and -2?

(x + 5)2 = 0 ----> (x + 5)(x + 5) = 0 ---> x + 5 = 0 ---> x = -5
