asked 04/24/25How many liters of each type do you need to make exactly 6 liters of 80% juice?
You are making 6 liters of 80% juice. You have two types of juice: one is 100% pure juice, and the other is diluted juice with an 80% concentration.

"How many liters of each type do you need to make exactly 6 liters of 80% juice?"
The easy way to do a problem like this is to think about how much pure 100% juice you are using.
BUT: This problem has a big problem: If we add ANY 100% just to 80% juice then we will get juice with MORE than an 80% concentration!
That means, the way this problem is worded, that we can only use 80% juices
Therefore we will make 6 liters of 80% juice out of .... 6 liters of 80% Juice!
----------Now Fixing the Problem------------
Let's say instead we have 100% juice and 60% juice
(100% + 60% )/ 2 = 80%
So one liter of each will make 2 liters of 80%
Altogether we just need 3 liters of each to make 6 of 80% juice.

Perhaps there is a mistake in this post? If you already have a diluted juice that is 80% juice and you want to end up with 6 liters of 80% juice, then just use 6 liters of 80% juice. You would not need to add any pure juice to reach that concentration level.04/24/25
