An expression with two terms is a binomial.
In order to write any binominal in standard form, you look at the degree of each term. You then write each term in order of degree, from highest to lowest, left to right.
First, look at the degrees for each term in the expression: -9m^2 + 4m^3
-9m^2 = 2 degree 4m^3 = 3 degree
Next, the highest degree identifies the expression of the binominal
which is the 3rd degree.
Solution:
The standard form of -9m^2 + 4m^3 is a binominal of the 3rd degree format.

The general form of a polynomial is written in descending order of the degree, so we get 4m3 - 9m2. The polynomial has two terms (4m3 and -9m2 ) which means the polynomial is a binomial. The term 4m3 has an exponent of 3, making this a degree 3 polynomial.
