Then the two walls formed by the height and the length would have an area of

The wall along the length will need LH amount of wallpaper. There are 2 such walls.

So, the total amount is 2LH + 2WH = 2H(L+W).

Alternatively, you can find the perimeter, which is 2(L+W) and multiply that with H, which also gives, 2H(L+W).
