Shooting with a tripod is important, to minimize shake, and make sure your shutter speed is relatively high, such as 500/sec or more. Low ISO is also a big help. If the photo is fairly sharp, sharpening in Photoshop can help even more, but be careful not to overdo it. Mostly, take your time focusing in the camera.

Lighting is everything. I use a combination of diffused lighting and controlled highlights to enhance the shine without creating harsh glares. A softbox or a scrim helps minimize unwanted reflections while still defining the shape of the metal and gemstones. I also shoot at a high aperture (around f/11 to f/16) to ensure maximum depth of field, keeping intricate details sharp. Focus stacking is another technique I use for extreme clarity in macro shots.
