you can just plug in x = -2 into the function and then simplify! when i do that here i get
f(-2) = -2(-2) - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1
meaning that when x = -2, the value of y is 1

Hi Wyatt.
To find y if x = -2, replace x by -2 in the expression -2x-3:
if x = -2: y = -2(-2)-3 = 4-3 =1
Answer: if x =-2, y= 1
