Which part of slope-intercept are you needing help with? Are you determining slope-intercept from a given graph, an equation in a different form, or something else?
In its most basic form, slope-intercept is just a way of writing an equation in form that is easy to extract specific information. When an equation in this form, y = m*x + b, we can easily determine the slope, m, and the y-intercept (0, b).
For example, here are the slopes and y-intercepts for a couple examples
- y = 2x -1, m = 2, y-intercept = (0, -1)
- y = -0.25x + 3, m = -0.25, y-intercept = (0, 3)
