Since each pound of candy costs the same amount, $ per lb = $4250/17 lb gives the cost of 1 lb. Each pound costs $2.50.
That means every time the number of pounds goes up by 1, the cost goes up by $250. The slope of the line is 3.5 (or 5/2), The cost of zero pounds is zero $, so the y-intercept is at (0,0).
The equation of the line is y = 2.5x where x is number of pounds and y is the cost for that number of pounds.
When x = 2, y = 5 for example, so (2,5) is a point on the line.
When x = 4, y = 10, so (4,10) is a point on the line.
