It is given that she bought "n" packs, so an algebraic expression representing the number of pencils is 15n.
If the variable p is used to represent the number of pencils purchased then the equation is:
p = 15n
So 1 pack, 15(1) = 15 pencils.
2 packs = 15(2) = 30 pencils
...
10 packs, 15(10) = 150 pencils.
