Here is what your work might look like:
Let W = width of the rectangle.
Then an expression to represent the length is W + 2 (two more then the width).
The perimeter is the sum of two lengths and two widths.
2(W + 2) + 2W = 112
2W + 4 + 2W = 112
4W + 4 = 112
4W = 108
W = 108/4 = 27
L = 29
