"Straight Line To Pinky; Here Comes The Thumb"
Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetrum, Pisiform; Hamate, Capitate, Trapezoid, Trapezium
This is my favorite mnemonic to remember the carpal bones because it helps me remember the names as well the direction.
Straight Line to Pinky (the proximal row/ row closer to the forearm) - we start with the Scaphoid which is on the radial/thumb side and we are moving in the direction of the pinky
Here Comes the Thumb (the distal row/ row closer to the fingers) - starts with the Hamate which is under the pinky and then we move toward the thumb
