Isaiah is 5 years older than delfina. In 3 years the sum of their ages will be 47. How old is Isaiah now?

I=5+d

I+3 + d+3 = 47

I+d = 41

5+d+d = 41

2d = 36

d = 18 years old now

I = 23 years old now

in 3 years they'll be 21 and 26 which sum to 47
