Find a degree 3 polynomial function having zeros 2, -8 and -3 and leading coefficient 6.

The polynomial is

zeros are x=2, -8 and -3

x-2=0

x+8=0

x+3=0

giving factors

x-2

x+8

x+3

multiply the three factors together

and multiply them by 6

p(x) =6(x-2)(x+8)(x+3)
