Consider Line 1 with the equation: y=−12 

Give the equation of the line parallel to Line 1 which passes through (−10,−2)  

Give the equation of the line perpendicular to Line 1 which passes through (−10,−2):    

 

Consider Line 2, which has the equation:  y=x

Give the equation of the line parallel to Line 2 which passes through (−4,5) 

   

Give the equation of the line perpendicular to Line 2 which passes through (−4,5)

y=-2 is the parallel line to y=-2 through (-10,2)

x=-10 is the perpendicular line to y=-2 trhough (-10,2)

given y=x,the parallel line thourgh (-4,5) is y=x+9

perpendicular line is y=-x+1
