Give the equation of the line parallel to Line 1 which passes through (−2,−6);

Consider Line 2, which has the equation:  x=7

Give the equation of the line parallel to Line 2 which passes through (8,−2) :     

Give the equation of the line perpendicular to Line 2 which passes through (8,−2);

y=-6x+16 is Line 1

a parallel line has the same slope = -6

through the point (-2,-6) is the line with equation

y+6= -6(x+2)

or

y =-6x -18 in slope intercept form

x=7 has a parallel line through the point (8,-2)

with the equation x=8

they're both vertical lines, with undefined slope, so you can't write them in slope intercept form because slope DNE, Does Not Exist, no y intercept either
