Gina and Cole are selling shirts to raise money for their club. Together they sold 56 shirts. Gina sold 8 less than three times the number of shirts Cole sold. Which system of equations models this situation if Gina sold g, shirts and Cole sold c, shirts?

3c-8 +c=56

4c= 56+8 =64

c= 64/4=16 shirts sold by cole

g= 3(16)-8 = 48-8 =40 shirts sold by gina
