(8/3)9
Here is 1/4th of that product:
(1/4)[(8/3)9]
And here is 3 less than that:
(1/4)[(8/3)9)] - 3
To evaluate (there are different ways, but here is the most straightforward):
- Take 8/3 time 9. the 3 divides into 9 evenly, so 8 (3) = 24.
- Now take 1/4th of 24. the 4 in the denominator divides into 24 evenly, so 1/4 times 24 = 6.
- Finally 3 less than that is 6 - 3 = 3.
