Tanks A and B were filled with water. at midday a pump began drawing water at a constant rate from both tanks. by 2pm both tanks had the same depth of water.

at 5pm A ran dry

at 8pm w ran dry.

if b is 10metres high, how high is a?

h_B(t)=10(1-m_Bt) ,,,m_B is pump rate for tank B

t=5 ,,h_A=0

m_A=1/5

t=8 ,,,h_B=0

m_B=1/8

at t=2 h_A=h_B

h_0A(3/5)=10(3/4)

h_0A=50/4 meters
