Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
(1,1) and (2,8) on a curve y=ca^x, an exponential function
1 = ca
8 = ca^2
divide to get
8 = a
c = 1/8
y = (1/8)(8^x)
y = (8^x)/8\
which also = 8^(x-1)
