Hi Jazmin,
If you want to graph -2x+4y=5 find at least 2 data points.
You choose the values for one of your variables and calculate the value for the other.
For example. I'll choose a value of 0 for x
-2(0) +4y =5
4y=5
y=4/5
so one data point is (0, 4/5) This is also the y intercept.
I'd then choose the value 0 for y and calculate x
-2x +r(0) = 5
-2x = 5
x=-5/2
so another data point would be (-5/2,0) this also is called the x-intercept.
Once you have 2 points, you can draw your line.
You can also choose a different number for x and solve for y.
