Hello! If if understand your question correctly you are asking what happens to acetyl-CoA when there is a lack of oxaloacetate.
When there is a lack of oxaloacetate, the reaction between it and acetyl-CoA cannot be completed, therefore there would be a buildup of acetyl-CoA (this can also occur when there is negative feedback from ATP). When the buildup occurs acetyl-CoA must go somewhere, and so it is shuttled into the cytosol, and is used to participate in fatty acid biosynthesis.
