so if she paid $28 at the sales price
the original price would be P where P-.2P=28
.8P=28
P=28/.8= 280/8=$35 = original Price
if the sales discount were 40% off then
P = 28/(1-.4) = 28/.6 = 280/6 = $46.67 = Original Price rounded off to nearest cent
