asked 01/14/24Geometric series problem
State the values of term 1 and the common ratio. Then, determine the partial sum. (I am stuck trying to find the partial sum. Please help)

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
r= .01 = 1/100
Sn= a1(1-r^n)/(1-r) = partial sum of a geometric series where a1= 1st term= .43 = 43/100, n= number of terms=6, r= common ratio= .01=1/100
S6 = .43(1-(.01)^6/(1-.01)= sum of 1st 6 terms (a calculator is handy at this point)
= .434343...
= 43/99

Is that 56 at the end supposed to be the number of terms (as opposed to the value of the last term)?01/14/24
