Matt's girlfriend started getting him stuffed the animals and got carried away Matt now has 356 that animals that are all either teddy bears or dogs The number of bears is 17 more than twice the number of dogs How many of each animals does Matt have?

Let x = number of dogs. Then 2x + 17 = number of bears

x + (2x + 17) = 356
