Also, the order is: The measurement on the map or drawing is the first number, to the real world measurement, which is the second number. In real world architectural drawings, the numbers don't have to be converted to the same units. For example, 1/8" = 1' is a very common scale for larger buildings, and
1/4" = 1' is another common scale, for smaller buildings, like your average house.
In this question, where they ask for the scale factor, the answer is simply the number 50.
When they specify scale factor, it's not asking for another scale in the same units. It specifically means the factor you multiply the drawing measurement by to get the real world dimension.
