x/.30194 = 14.42/2 = 7.21

x = 7.21(.30194)= 2.45279874

= approximately $2.45 for 12 ounces

check that though, it may be wrong

12 is about 1/3 of a kilo

1/3 of a kilo =1/3 times 14.42 = about $4.80

4.8 = 2.4, coincidentally the same off by a factor of 2

but odds are $2.45 is best answer, not $4.80
