18 hours to receive 1 foot of snow

4 inches every 6 hours

1 ft = 12 inches

12/4 = 3

3x6 = 18 hours

t(x) where x = inches of snow, t= hours to reach x inches of snow

y = 3x/2

y= 1.5x

t(12) =3(12)/2 = 18 hours

or if you want x = feet of snow, then

t(x) = 18x

y=18x

t(1) = 18(1) = 18 hours to reach 1 foot of snow
