y = -2x + b, then substitute the coordinates of the point given (-3, -5), means x = -3 and y = -5
-5 = -2(-3) + b
-5 = 6 + b, then collect like terms together by subtracting 6 from both sides
-5 -6 = b
-11 = b
so the answer will be y = -2x -11.
