Math with integers

Question

Suppose that you randomly choose three of

these four integers: 8, 8, 18, and 28. Is

the sum likely to be positive, negative, or 0? and why?

Answer 1

the sum of positive numbers is always positive, never zero or negative

8+18+28 = 54

8+8+18 = 34

8+8+28 = 44

34,44, and 54 are all positive, positively positive

(I have this uneasy feeling though that maybe you left out a minus sign before the 18 or 28? that would change the answer)
