-2.3 -7 = -9.3

2.2+5(-2.3)= 2.2- 11.5 = -9.3

|7-x| = 2.2 + 5x has both solutions

but you probably want the 1st answer

the "difference" between 2 numbers usually means the absolute value of one minus the other though, which includes both solutions
